MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME
Come ready
to make music.
A little preparation gives the session more room for creativity.
Before you arrive
- Discuss production ideas and share reference recordings with your engineer.
- Rehearse the arrangements and bring lyric or lead sheets when needed.
- Confirm file formats before sending sequenced tracks or beats.
- Change, stretch, and play in strings ahead of the session rather than immediately before recording.
- A drum kit and 88-key weighted keyboard are available. Confirm all other instruments, amplifiers, sticks, and accessories in advance.
- Bring a suitable flash drive if you want a physical copy. The studio does not supply blank CDs.
During the session
Your engineer handles the microphone setup, recording levels, and monitoring. Allow time to get the sound and headphone mixes comfortable before tracking.
Keep guests to a practical minimum so the room stays focused. Speak up about your musical ideas and any monitoring changes you need.
After recording
Mixing and mastering can be arranged at Groove Studio, or files can be prepared for another facility. Confirm delivery formats and transfer arrangements before leaving.
The studio does not provide mass duplication or graphic art services.
